In February 2022, human rights defenders came together to discuss the development of a draft law for the protection of human rights defenders in Liberia. The session lasted four days, during which a human rights policy was drafted and the role of key stakeholders was discussed.
The sessions were facilitated by the Secretary General of the Civil Society Human Rights Advocacy platform of Liberia, Adama Dempster and supported by Melvin Nyanway from the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Liberia.
